- 3/25/2011Java User Group - Mobile Development: The next Wisconsin Java User Group meeting will be held next Tuesday, March 29th, 2011. This meeting will be held at: Wells Fargo (see WJUG website for directions Curious about mobile development? - by Max Rahder Worried about the learning curve for iOS or Android? There are easier alternatives! Max will demonstrate how to create a mobile application using the open source tool Sencha Touch, an HTML5 Javascript framework. In addition, Max will contrast Sencha Touch with the alternatives of doing native Android programming, using PhoneGap (a native/HTML5 hybrid) and WidgetBox (a hosted wysiwyg service). Max Rahder is a Madison-based Java developer and architect, who also does training in Java, Sencha Touch and Ext JS. He currently works as the lead designer of AccuLynx, a software-as-a-service used in the construction industry. AccuLynx uses Ext JS for its front end, and Amazon Web services for storage and other cloud services. http://www.wjug.org/wjug/nextmeeting.jsp
